Growth in Norway and Europe
All high schools in Norway have purchased a digital learning platform. The platform is used to support the school work as well as introducing new learning methods. The ability to extend the communication and collaboration between teacher/pupil in addition to flexibility enhancing tools, represent a major part of the platform’s functionality. The UK government has recently decided that all schools shall introduce learning platforms by 2008. Denmark and Germany is expected to follow. Fronter with its 2 million end-users, including 500.000 daily users, is one of the leading vendors in this market. This OEM agreement allows Fronter to introduce advanced search to its end-user, and the possibility to purchase further seats for additional users.
Search improves learning
”Even though many schools have introduced a digital learning platform – they still have a large potential in creating value out of their investment. Search is the key enabler”, according to Fronter’s CEO Mr. Roger Larsen. ”With this agreement we expect to reduce the user barrier significantly by simplifying information retrieval, and by providing pupils and teachers precise and relevant answers - all which will result in increased system usage. We chose IntelliSearch as their search platform fit in terms of technology, functionality, performance and price, concludes Mr. Larsen.
IntelliSearch shares Fronter’s view on the importance of search functionality in information-rich applications. IntelliSearch OEM platform is designed to increase information access and to generally improve the user experience in using applications. IntelliSearch is pleased to have Fronter as a new customer and have expectations for the opportunities this agreement represents in this growing market.
