IntelliSearch - strong 2005 showing

The Enterprise Search company Intellisearch, that offers enterprise search to medium large and large organisations, increased its market presence in 2005. In total, 18 new customers, including 6 pilots were added to its customer portfolio. Of which many were won in competition with among others FAST Search and Transfers.

According to Harald Jellum, the IntelliSearch CEO: 2005 represents a milestone for the company. We have now built a solid position in the market we wish to be, we have extended our product portfolio and built important alliances. Our position is significantly strengthened, as our competitors have noticed. Our near-term ambition is to grow further in Norway and the Nordic countries.

Of the total new contracts, six are pilots for companywide Enterprise Search. Examples of new customers are PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Nexans, I.M. Skaugen, Fronter and Statens Vegvesen. The contracts have each an annual value between 200.000 and 500.000 NOK, based on a fixed startup sum of 30.000-50.000 NOK, in addition to monthly rent dependent on the number of users, amount of data and functionality.

Despite the fact that IntelliSearch is a young company, we make a footprint in the market where we, as opposed to more established players such as Fast and Autonomy, combine custom design with finished modules and thereby reduce the need for expensive consultancy. This makes leading-edge Enterprise Search technology accessible to medium-sized companies, concludes Mr Jellum.

Enhanced Product

Intellisearch’s Enterprise Search Platform gives customers a tool that enable search in any data source, internal or external, without changing the existing IT infrastructure. A complete market monitoring tool is also a part of the solution through partnership with Cyberwatcher/Intermedium.

Our Enterprise Search Platform has during the year gone through several upgrades, where we have added several new features such as synonym handling and language independent spelling control. The platform’s Search speed capacity is strengthened considerably.

New connectors are established towards structured data sources such as the document management systems Hummingbird, ePhorte (ErgoGroup) and eWay (Allianse). Further connectors are under development – examples are Documentum and Sharepoint. During 2005, IntelliSearch entered reseller agreement with ErgoGroup, Allianse and Bouvet.
