IntelliSearch to improve self-service offerings in Molde Municipality

Molde Municipality has signed a contract with IntelliSearch for Enterprise search and Site search. The IntelliSearch Enterprise Search Platform will be the municipality’s internet and intranet search engine.

Molde Municipality’s vision is to offer self-service solutions that enable citizens to find services and to collaborate electronically with the municipality by adopting cutting edge web-based technology and interactive solutions.

According to Molde Municipality’s Project Leader Mr. Ole Jacob Thinn: ”We have planned two adoption areas for the search platform – enterprise-wide search for employees and website search for citizens of the municipality. We have high expectations to that improved information retrieval will simplify our employees’ workday and improve the usability of our citizen-facing websites. In order to realize our vision our employees and citizens have to be able to easily find information on policies, cases and service offerings. Our goal is that the search platform will improve service levels, quality, and user experience, while reducing people’s need to contact the municipality directly.
We chose IntelliSearch because their technology allows for a cost effective integration with our data sources, and their functionality allows for efficient and effective information retrieval for employees and citizens”, concludes Mr. Thinn.

IntelliSearch Enterprise will be integrated with file server, email server, ePhorte Case/Document Management system, and ePort portal solution.
