Software Innovation to offer IntelliSearch to its ECM customers

Software Innovation, a leading document and case management system vendor in Scandinavia, has become an IntelliSearch partner. The partner agreement allow their document management customers to expand information access to include unstructured data residing in email and file-servers, portals and custom applications.

The agreement enables information access to all files and documents in a company’s network – independent of whether they are stored in structured document management systems or unstructured solutions such as file-servers, email-servers or portals. This allows for one central information access - enabling increased quality and predictability in project and case handling. The IntelliSearch solution gives one access to all sources and file-types, including pdf-files which are OCR-interpreted by the search engine. The user interface comes with categorization functionality - allowing for fast information drill-down and retrieval. The search engine can also be set-up to monitor any internal source, media source and website – all tailored to individual employee’s function.

Enterprise Search and Content Management System complement each other
According to Software Innovation’s EVP Jan Kirkerud is Enterprise Search important to offer their customers and their users a holistic view of tasks and cases. ”We regrettably have to acknowledge that most customers don’t manage to have their users store all corporate information in structured document management systems.
