Norwegian Directorate of Education finds IntelliSearch central to eGovernment

PRESS RELEASE
Lysaker, 11. September 2006

The Norwegian Directorate of Education has chosen the IntelliSearch Enterprise Search Platform. The Directorate is building an eGovernment platform where external users will have 24/7 self-service access to cases and relevant documents. The plan is to create a Search-based, all-electronic case information and case management portal.

According to the Head of Department at the Norwegian Directorate of Education, Morten Haug Frøyen, Enterprise search is a central part to their vision of an all-electronic case handling process. The ambition is that quick and easy access to relevant information will ensure high levels of service, quality, and predictability in practicing the rule of law, says Mr. Frøyen.

The IntelliSearch Enterprise Search Platform will enable search of information across systems such as ePhorte, email, file servers, and intranet through a simple and user friendly interface.

IntelliSearch welcome the Norwegian Directorate of Education as a customer. The Directorate is an innovative government agency, and we look forward to be part of the realization of their eGovernment initiative. Our experience shows that Government agencies will enjoy tremendous benefits through advanced search software. Enterprise Search is central to eGovernment success, by improving access to documents and cases, and improving the quality, service levels and predictability in the case management. The latter is important to secure equal practise of the law.
